REFINERY29, Editor-In-Chief

The one piece of advice I give interns is…

Don't wait to be asked to do something. Look for ways to be helpful and productive while thoughtfully anticipating needs. Be indispensable...and hirable!

The best interns always...

Smile and express enthusiasm. By showing me they're happy I can see they have the right attitude and the right mindset to succeed, whether it's sorting mail or writing a feature on extreme deadline.

If I could intern anywhere I'd intern...

At Refinery29! Our interns have it really good.

This was my dream summer job because…

I work with people who are passionate about creating a site that has a strong point of view — both in terms of written content and aesthetics.

The most important thing I've learned so far...

Always take notes, especially when you start and are trying to learn everything as fast as possible.

The best thing about being an intern...

Getting to constantly work on different projects with different people in the office. I have a great breadth of experience.
